About The Creator

My name is Ben D'Angelo, i'm 19 years old and live in the great city of Toronto. I love Flash, its an amazing program that lets me create my crazy games.

I started programming when I was 14. I created my first website and programmed in javascript. I found flash when I was 16 and started to play around with it. I made myself a goal to create my own game like Final Fantasy Tactics. It took monthes of work and learning but I did reach my goal and Knight Tactics was born. I have now decided I want to be a game programmer and create my own tactics games.

In 2008, I came across an opportunity to create xbox live arcade games. I of course took it and i'm now planning on creating tactics games for xbox arcade. This has lead me to learn C# and a chance get famous! The start of my newest tactics game for xbox live will start sometime in 2010.

About The Studio

Throw the Project was created by me (Ben D'Angelo aka Lautan), and it is still run by just me. I have gotten many requests to join the studio but sorry I am not looking for any staff members. The studio was created in March 2007 with very little viewers. Once Knight Tactics was released I gained a small fan base but also a huge list of hate mail rushed into my inbox. Knight Tactics was actually closely related to Final Fantasy Tactics and I received a lot of hate for that.

Since the released of Modern Tactics 3 the site has grown greatly and a community has grown. In the future I'm of course looking at ways to expand the community even more and create better games.

Where did the name "Throw the Project" come from?

The original name for my site was Sketchy Games, but that didn't fit too well. I was listening to a song once, "Bitches" by Mindless self indulgence. One of the lyrics was throughout the projects, but I inturpreted the lyric as "throw out the projects". I liked that and renamed it to "Throw the Project". I remember when I was registering the name www.throwtheproject.com on the phone, it took the lady a minute to figure out what it said.
