Beta Testing Full

Beta testing is completely full. I have accepted 20 people for beta, sorry for the others that didn't get in. First come first serve.
For the people in the beta. Before you guys get to play the game. I have to do a couple things first, finish the AI, finish some what of the campaign and then beta test the game myself. I'll try and get the game ready for next week.

Modern Tactics 3 Update

So a lot of stuff is being added. I'll list all the changes in categories.
Gameplay:
Wait confirmation message has been removed. After waiting you can choose to undo the wait.
Three new grenades have been added. Supply, Smoke and C4. You guys can guess what they do.
The bomb grenade has been removed.
The squad commander has been removed.
Units will respawn in 3 turns now, instead of instantly.
Team captain has been changed to a new game mode called medic. Its kind of like docter dodge ball.
The biggest change would have to be the scrolling map. The game now scrolls the map to units. It feels like a completely different game.
Campaign:
Story mode will now be a lot longer, with bigger challenges. Let me put it this way, story mode is going to be a challenge for me.
Two special game modes have been added just for the campaign.
You will now know before hand how many units and what game mode is in the mission. So you can set your classes.
Editor:
Tiles are now labled.
Players can now choose spawn locations.
AI:
People have been telling me to make a smarter AI. Well its going to be a lot smarter. I'm going to make the AI so smart its going to pose a challenge to me. Then i'm just going to sit back and laugh.
The AI will now work as a team, covering each other.
AI will now take cover, avoid grenades, and avoid bad situations.
Heres the biggest change. The AI will act differently depending on its main weapon. AI with sniper rifles will stand back. AI with light machine guns will cover units moving forward.
Other:
MT3 will now have advanced/beginner tutorials for newbies or experts. For example a tutorial on basics, grenading, shooting. They will also be a lot easier to follow.
Training mode has been added. Its a special mode with dead AI. You can try out different strats here.
MT2 maps are compatible with MT3.
So right now i've finished the engine. Heres what I have to do.
Finish tutorials, AI, free mode, campaign, multiplayer.
Beta test, fix bugs, tweak game.
Then get the game sponsored.
So the release date depends on how fast I can pump these maps out and how long I can beta test this game.
If you want to beta test send me an email. When the game is ready for that i'll send you a link to the game. I don't recommend you post your email in a comment, unless you want to get spam.

MT2 Hits One Million!

Yep thats right, Modern Tactics 2 has been played one million times!
I thought I would feel different when I create a successful game but I still feel the same. I don't feel any different knowing people are waiting for my next game. And that their expecting something even better. But because I know whats wrong with my game and I know what to do it doesn't bother me.

MT3 Whats New?
Over the past couple days I have been brain storming and taking suggestions from fans. I've finished my list of everything that'll be in MT3. About 90% of what people suggested will be in mt3.
So my goal is to make the game more tactical with more action. The problem with mt2 was soldiers were so powerful alone they don't rely on other teammates. Here are the changes stuff might change as I continue working.
Gameplay:
Units movement range is now 4 tiles. The 4th tile will take the units action phase.
Mounted machine guns will be introduced.
The games camera will now scroll and ease to units rather than popping to them.
Units can only hold one grenade and main weapon. There secondary weapon will be a pistol.
Four new game modes will be added.
Units now spawn in random locations.
Realistic mode will be redone.
Commanders will now have a standard look, different than normal units.
Maps will be bigger.
Desert tiles will be added.
The cover system has been revised.
The last selectable unit will now be auto-selected
Players turn message has been removed
Confirmation messages can be turned off.
Weapons/Abilities:
Sub machine guns will deal more damage.
Light machine guns reduce units movement range.
Assault rifles range has been increased.
New attachments and abilities.
New outfits.
New guns added and old guns will be edited.
AI:
AI will now avoid grenades.
AIs movement will be improved.
Basically, I will make the AI as smart as possible.
I didn't list everything but I did list every big change. These changes are for the better. They will add new tactics and speed up the games pace. I'm almost done the games engine so don't ask me when it'll be done.

Modern Tactics 3
Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of emails and messages saying they can't wait for MT3. So i've decided to start working on it next week. I'm stopping my other game until this is done.
I already have a list of stuff I want to change. Most of the stuff will make the game faster paced and introduce new strategies. Their are a couple things i'm not sure if I should add or not.
I'm thinking about introducing rpgs and barricades as useable items (flash, frag, etc). The rpg will be used to take out walls to create new paths for soldiers. The barricade will create cover for soldiers. After using one of these the effects stay for the rest of the game.
Second idea, should soldiers be able to shoot threw thin walls?
Third idea, do you want to remove the confirmation messages? Such as when clicking wait, reloading, the undo button. People have been complaining there is too much clicking. Maybe I should add an option to turn it off/on.
One last thing, thier won't be a rotational map in mt3 and units can only hold one main gun, there secondary weapon will be a pistol.
So are these good ideas or a bad ones? Tell me what you think.

Whats next?
Hey guys. Looks like MT2 was a great success. I'm sorry about all of the AI glitches.
Before I move on i'll like to thank all of the people that support my games and understand what I go through to do so. I get a lot of hate for "copying" games and other stuff. And it makes me feel great that someone appreciates my work.
Just to clear this up now thier will be a MT3. I have already came up some really awsome ideas.
Right now i'm working on an other game. Its a small game that I always wanted to make. Its an action shooter game. I don't have a name for it but its nothing like any flash shooter game on the web. So basically its like cod4 but in 2d. But there isn't a perk system and no exp system. I know a lot of my fans love the TRPGs I make but don't worry it shouldn't take long to finish.
